Why Blisssify Exists
Built from a conversation, shaped by experience.
Sometimes the right people come back into your life at exactly the right time.
We first met 11 years ago when we worked together. Eventually, life took us in different directions and we each followed our own path.
Eleven years later, we met again.
We started talking about life, work and everything that had happened in between. During that conversation, I shared an idea I had been working on: Blisssify.
The idea was simple. I wanted to create one beautiful place where people could go when they were looking for a great salon, spa, studio, clinic or wellness experience, without spending hours searching, comparing and wondering whether they had made the right choice.
Romana immediately connected with it. Beauty, Pilates and wellness had already been such a natural part of her life. She loved trying new places, visiting salons and studios, looking for somewhere special and recommending the places she genuinely enjoyed.
The more we talked, the more it felt like our different strengths could work perfectly together. So I simply said to Romana, “I think you would be an amazing business partner.”
And that was the moment Blisssify became something we would build together.
Today, we each bring something different to the business. I focus on the platform, strategy, development, operations and everything happening behind the scenes.
Romana works closely with our salons and partners, visits businesses, builds relationships and helps us understand what makes a place genuinely worth recommending.
But what connects us is the reason Blisssify exists in the first place.
We both know what it feels like to book somewhere because the photos looked beautiful, only to leave disappointed. We know how much time people spend moving between reviews, websites and social media trying to work out where they should actually go.
At the same time, we know there are so many brilliant salons, studios, spas and independent businesses that deserve to be seen.
That is why we never wanted Blisssify to become simply another directory filled with endless listings. We want it to feel more personal.
A collection of places we would genuinely feel comfortable recommending.
Places we would visit ourselves.
Places we would send our friends to.
Places where the experience matters just as much as the treatment itself.
Blisssify grew from a simple conversation between two people who met again after 11 years and realised that perhaps our paths had crossed again for a reason.
We had no idea all those years ago that one day we would be building a business together. But looking at it now, the timing feels just right.
